Monica Foster commentary: This is a rather interesting development. I know first hand that my good friend Diana Grandmaison fka Desi Foxx was very concerned in regards to the Los Angeles porn industry infiltrating college campuses ( it was such a prime opportunity to recruit Barely Legal youngsters into pornography).
The credit of driving Hugo Schwyzer into rehab however, should go primarily to the diligent work ofMichael Whiteacre aka Ari Bass, my favorite dysfunctional Anti-Porn Super Activist (who today, I have opted to grant forgiveness to).

Michael Whiteacre aka Ari Bass is a rather interesting case. He wants to be acknowledged and make a name for himself in the Los Angeles porn industry very badly – it means EVERYTHING to him. Ari wants acceptance & respect, but it seems that he just can’t ACCEPT that everything he does helps ANTI-porn rather than the industry he so desperately wants to retain friendships in.
Over the past few years, Ari has managed to discredit the Free Speech Coalition, promote Shelley Lubben unlike anyone ever has before, tarnish the reputation of Vivid director Phil Varone, expose himself publicly as an abusive boyfriend to sex work activist and camgirl Christina Page, expose vulnerable porn talent to dangerous fan bois (with criminal histories), and much much more.

The bottom line, is that unfortunately Ari’s downfall (like many cursed with his particular birthday), is that he’s very easily manipulated and uncontrollably OBSESSIVE.
I’ve grown to pity little Ari, so I’ve decided to help him once more. PASADENA – from www.pasadenastarnews.com- Pasadena City College’s self-titled “Porn Professor” announced this week he will not offer the class again in the near future after pressures from the college and social media sent him to psychological rehab last week.
Professor Hugo Schwyzer has offered his Humanities 3 class, which he titled “Navigating Pornography,” twice at PCC, but this spring the class received backlash from the college and the community after media reports of a guest lecture by porn star James Deen that Schwyzer tried to open up to the public.
Schwyzer said the pressure from PCC as well as online hatred he receives daily on social media because of his other writings on gender issues, have led him to the decision to no longer teach the class.
“I’m exhausted by threats and controversy,” Schwyzer said via email Wednesday. “I need a break.”
Schwyzer has also gained notoriety online and among feminist groups for his past drug addiction and his last act as an addict, when he tried to kill himself and his ex-girlfriend according to Schwyzer’s own writings. During his first few years as a professor at PCC, he also admittedly had sexual relationships with a number of his female students, but the college allowed him to remain as a teacher and asked him to author the college’s current policy that bans professor-student relationships.
Because of his past, Schwyzer said, he’s become quite an unpopular guy.
“I’m a deeply flawed man who has made many mistakes and been as open as possible about them,” he said. “Some people can’t forgive those mistakes.”
Representatives from PCC did not immediately return calls for comment.
